I studied psychology at the University of Stellenbosch, the University of South Africa and Rhodes University, and completed my clinical training at the University of Cape Town in 1998.
I worked as a psychologist in psychosexual health in the National Health Service in London until 2003. Sexual and gender problems remain a special focus in my work, now enhanced by the mindfulness approach.
I have been practising mindfulness, attending retreats and taking mindfulness courses for more than fifteen years. I completed a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course, the SN Goenka Vipassana course and South Africa’s first university certification training in mindfulness-based interventions, offered by Stellenbosch University and the Institute for Mindfulness in South Africa.
I have been in private practice in Cape Town since 2004, offering brief and long-term psychotherapy for adults. I also teach mindfulness practice.
I am registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa.
